Sonic Frontiers is a 2022 platform game developed by Sonic Team and published by Sega. Players assume the role of Sonic as they embark on a journey to collect the Chaos Emeralds scattered across the Starfall Islands, following Sonic and his friends' separation after falling through a wormhole. This installment integrates traditional Sonic elements like platforming, collecting rings, and grinding on rails into the series' first-ever open world.
